Rules and Regulation

The rule specifies technical standards for the customer equipmentpermitted to be attached to licensed communications networks and prohibit persons from selling, or offering for sale, and/or attaching equipment to a communications network that does not meet these standards.

The objectives of this Act are: 1) providing transparent, technologically and competitively neutral regulation which focuses on promoting the long term interest of users; 2) providing regulation that is proportionate to the end to be achieved, non-discriminatory and promotes reliance on market forces to the greatest extend reasonable in the circumstances.
